WAITZMAN (SCHLIPF), Mary F, of Dayton and Columbus, Ohio passed away on March 11, 2017 in her residence at the Villas at Saint Therese. She was the daughter of Frank B and Mary Ann Schlipf and raised by her grandmother Mary Elizabeth Schlipf. She wed Donald Nicholas Waitzman (deceased). She is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth Theodoras of Columbus, wife of John L. Kaufman; grandchildren -- Mark A. WAITZMAN (SCHLIPF), Mary F, of Dayton and Columbus, Ohio passed away on March 11, 2017 in her residence at the Villas at Saint Therese. She was the daughter of Frank B and Mary Ann Schlipf and raised by her grandmother Mary Elizabeth Schlipf. She wed Donald Nicholas Waitzman (deceased). She is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth Theodoras of Columbus, wife of John L. Kaufman; grandchildren -- Mark A. Theodoras of Dayton; Julie Ann Theodoras of Xenia; Mary Ann Theodoras Scarpelli (Frank J) of Beavercreek; James T. Theodoras II (Clara Barancelli) of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren -- Arlo Jack Huff of Xenia, Giovonna Scarpelli, Isabella Mary Scarpelli of Beavercreek, Sofia Theodoras, Maria Theodoras and Nicole Theodoras of Dallas, Texas. Mary was Sister Mary Margaret, a Marianist secular minister. Through Immaculate Conception Church, she was a Eucharistic minister who made home visits to shut ins. Mary was employed by Standard Register of Dayton for 30 years, where she returned after retirement for an additional 10 years under a temp agency. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church of Reynoldsburg, OH for her last ten years of life, as well as a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church (IC) of Dayton for over 50 years. She was a feature concert pianist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, and played the organ at Our Lady of the Rosary Church for many years in Dayton. After retirement she walked eight blocks to and from IC church every day with dog treats in tow for her furry friends along the way. Mary will be missed by family, friends, and all the doggies she comforted on her trips to and from church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Rd, Dayton, OH 45420. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the church service at 9:30 AM.
